How To Find a Search and Rescue Dog Training School

How To Find a Search and Rescue Dog Training School

How To Find a Search and Rescue Dog Training School

By: Melissa Buhmeyer

There are many things dogs can be trained to do but, of all the tasks a working dog can perform, search and rescue ranks the highest for needing qualified, professional trainers. A Search and Rescue (SAR) dog's performance, quite literally, can determine life or death to a human in need.

As shocking as it may sound, there is no set of standards for rescue dog training. Subsequently, rescue clubs, teams, and individuals emerge as trainers, when, in fact, they may know little, or nothing at all, about training a SAR dog. Attending seminars and reading books on the subject are worthwhile endeavors, but they do not constitute being a SAR dog trainer. Sadly, in a large percentage of cases, this is an assumption not only made, but followed, and replicated. In some cases, those touting themselves as SAR dog trainers scarcely have enough knowledge to teach a dog simple parlor tricks, let alone promptly and accurately scenting or tracking skills, where a human life hangs in the balance.

Even when the topical qualifications are in place, this is no substitute for failing to research the validity of those qualifications. You will hear the term "qualified instructor" often from those with police/military backgrounds. While this sounds impressive, keep in mind that there is no "qualification" standard to begin with, so the very title is misleading. Further, there may be a very good reason that the individual is no longer training/handling outside of the police/military venues. That reason may be a desire for work in the private sector, or it could be indicative of poor performance.

Now, I'm not trying to paint a bleak picture; there are a number of incredible SAR dog trainers out there. All of these great instructors hold one thing in common: they can bear your scrutiny with flying colors. If you're making the huge step towards training your dog for SAR, then you really need to make the right choices. Here are the top things to consider when choosing a SAR dog trainer:

1. Experience. There is no substitute and there is no better gauge of a trainer's value. Look for trainers who have years of experience in a wide variety of disciplines, not just SAR. Demonstrated ability, in more than a single focus, means that the trainer will be able to administer a wide variety of training methods to accomplish the end goal. Other potential disciplines to look for include: agility, obedience, hunting, or herding. This experience is easily verified by titles such as: Companion Dog (CD, CDX) Agility Dog (AD, MACH, NATCH), Schutzhund (I, II, II) to name a few.

2. Actual SAR experience is a must. SAR dogs perform a number of tasks that your instructor MUST have real world experience with. They need to be well versed, from first hand experience, on how lost or fleeing people will act, how a crime scene needs to be preserved in cadaver searches resulting from criminal acts, etc.

3. The trainer should be well-versed on all breeds and capable of assessing and advising on the limitations and capacity of that breed.

4. Separate marketing from proven performance. If your trainer is good, you can bet he or she will have references. Contact those agencies and inquire about the specific services the trainer was hired for and their thoughts regarding the trainer's services. Just because they have a polished web site, well-designed brochures, etc., does not mean they're the best pick, by default. In some cases, a smaller organization may actually yield better references.

The decision for you, and your dog, to become involved in SAR is a big one. Take the time to do your homework. Your success and enjoyment will not only be richer but it may, in fact, save a life!

Getting the Credit You Deserve?

Getting the Credit You Deserve?

Getting the Credit You Deserve?

Have you ever wondered why so many businesses fail within 1-2 years... or even after 5 years in business?

To many business owners, this question is scarier than finding a burglar standing over your bed at night. So, here's some common sense advice that can save your business, regardless of how long you've been in business.

First of all, building a solid business credit rating is possible regardless of your personal credit scores. Obtaining the right types of corporate credit is vital to: the protection of your personal assets, the risks associated with personal lawsuits affecting your business, and your business' ability to weather economic changes that seem to occur overnight.

All business owners must make it a weekly priority toward developing relationships with the right types of lending institutions. You usually want to start your application process with out-of-state, national (or international) lenders... not your local or regional banking institutions; because these larger lenders typically won't require a personal guarantee or your social security number.

However, there are many steps you'll need to take before you start applying for any type of business credit. Ultimately, it's in your best interest to find a competent professional that can help you navigate through the murky underworld of building a strong corporate credit rating... giving you a head start on your competition & also letting you focus on running your business' day-to-day activities.

An excellent business credit score can help your company's image, overnight. You need to be able to answer some very basic questions, before you apply for any business credit.

1. Is your business strauctured as a sole proprietorship, C-corporation, S-Corporation, Limited-Liability Corporation (LLC), Partnership, or Trust?

2. How long has your business been recognized by your State & Local government?

3. Has this company ever had any derogatory information provided to the most popular business credit reporting agencies, Dun & Bradstreet or Experian?

4. Does your company have the proper permits, licenses and registrations necessary to conduct business in your jurisdiction?

5. Does your business have a physical address?

6. Does your business have a landline telephone number that's recognized by directory assistance?

7. Are your incoming telephone calls professionally answered in your business name, or is it answered as if incoming calls are personal conversations?

8. Does your business have a business checking account?

9. Does your business have an Employer Identification Number (also known as an EIN)?

If your answer to the first question was a sole proprietorship, partnership or trust; I urge you to re-establish your company as a corporation or LLC. I'm not going to provide you with legal advice, but many CPAs and attorneys highly recommend LLCs (Limited Liability Corporations) as a way of protecting your personal assets & estate... in the event of any lawsuits being filed against your company. As a sole proprietor, your personal assets are at direct risk of seizure or forfeiture when faced with most types of legal action. Additionally, most lending institutions will not require you to provide any personal guarantee when applying for credit in the name of an LLC.

A corporation can still face difficulties applying for business credit, if its been in business less than 2 years or if its had previous credit problems reported against it... although its not impossible to overcome. Here are some common fixes. You can purchase a "shelf" or "aged" corporation that's been recognized by your State government for longer than 2 years. You can attempt to repair your business credit rating by writing dispute letters to Experian or Dun & Bradstreet, which isn't always possible. A few corporate credit experts will sell you "shelf" or "aged" corporations, some of which already have strong credit ratings established in each entity's name... saving you alot of hassles.

I cannot stress this enough... you MUST have a physical address (not a PO Box) if you want to establish a solid business credit rating. The same thing is said for telephone numbers & the way incoming phone calls are handled. You don't have to act as if your company is a Fortune 500 company. You just need to put yourself in the lender's shoes for a moment & ask yourself, "Would I lend money to a company that I can't find a physical address for?" or "Would I lend money to a company that answers their mobile phone with your favorite musician's answer tone & is answered in a non-professional manner?". I hope your answer was a resounding "NO!". If not, can I borrow $1,000,000? You can always find me wherever my mobile phone is at the moment. (Get my point?) And, don't forget to get the proper paperwork to go into business & keep these documents current.

Moving on, business checking accounts are a must. Again, this proves stability to your potential lenders. Here are some possible solutions, if you've had checking accounts closed in the past. Pay off the outstanding balance (if any) that's being reported by the bank, or open a checking account at a bank or credit union that doesn't use the ChexSystems credit reporting system. Most credit unions don't use ChexSystems, and you can always find a list of banking institutions in your area that don't use ChexSystems... by simply doing a search on Google, Yahoo or MSN.

Corporate credit ratings are tracked using your business name, business address and employer identification number (EIN). It takes less than five (5) minutes to apply for an EIN at which is the IRS' website.

Next, you'll want to obtain a D-U-N-S number from Dun & Bradstreet, the largest business credit reporting agency. You can apply for this without any fees at which is the Dun & Bradstreet website, and you'll usually receive this number within thirty (30) days. Do not apply for this number until you've prepared your self thoroughly, because any information you give to them... goes into your credit file... permanently.

After you've obtained your D-U-N-S number, you're probably ready to start establishing some vendor credit. Vendor credit is where many business owners start establishing business credit ratings. Simply go to, or to get started. Then, you'll also need to fax your business telephone bill & the credit application to them... on your business letterhead (which you can create using your favorite word processing software). They usually don't require any personal guarantees (if you've followed the outline above), and you'll usually receive a starting credit line of $750.

Be sure to always pay your invoices before the grace periods begin. This is critical, especially on unsecured credit cards. Dun & Bradstreet issues what's known as a Paydex score (your corporate credit score), and a score of 80 is very good... with 100 being the highest score you can achieve. Your Paydex score is issued once you've established a known vendor/credit relationship with at least five (5) creditors... and it reflects negatively on your credit score if you pay a bill after you've entered in the grace period & even worse if you pay after the due date.

Again, there are shortcuts that will help you get much more than $750 alot faster. I've seen hundreds of people start with vendor credit equaling $25,000-$50,000 and open credit lines of $50,000 up to $1,000,000... in as little as 45-90 days... by using a corporate credit expert's knowledge of the application process & "shelf" corporations. In fact, the best corporate credit experts will usually already have "shelf" corporations for sale... with pre-established credit ratings & lines of credit.

In summary, I've given you most of the tools & information you need to obtain corporate credit lines. Are you going to let a "cash crunch" put you out of business? Are you going to try to establish a business credit rating yourself & build your credit slowly? Or, will you utilize the services of a knowledgeable corporate credit expert to establish your credit rating & secure large credit lines... overnight? The choice is yours.

Taking a Trip to Michigan for a Great Bass Fishing Experience

Taking a Trip to Michigan for a Great Bass Fishing ExperienceTaking a Trip to Michigan for a Great Bass Fishing Experience by by Jillian Smith

Michigan, the metro Detroit area, is a surprising location for great bass fishing trips. While many fishermen would not think to take a bass fishing expedition to the state of Michigan, there are several great areas for fine bass fishing. Lake St. Clair, Lake Erie, Saginaw Bay, and several inland lakes offer some of the best small mouth bass fishing anywhere. Fishing in Michigan takes place from April through December and the seasons provide different kinds fishing opportunities.

Bass fishing trips from early spring through the spawn are usually very productive. There is exciting fishing at this time of year. Many fish are visible, and they are interested in fishing baits like the super flukes and spinner baits. With these baits, it is a prime time to catch fish. The spring weather makes it a great destination for enjoyable fishing.

Fish are generally found in deeper water as the fish settle into their summer routines. By mid summer they are schooled and feeding heavily. Your bass fishing trips at this time of year can yield twenty five to forty fish per day. The average fish weighs almost seven pounds.

During fall, small mouth bass start feeding aggressively. They are best found in the shallows. Some of the biggest fish of the year can be caught as the ice over approaches because this is when fish are looking to feed. There is a benefit to scheduling bass fishing trips at this time of year in Michigan, because there is little boat traffic. You have most of the fishing areas to yourself. However, cold weather gear is necessary for these trips, and may deter fishermen who aren't accustomed to cold water fishing. It can be a frigid experience in Michigan during the winter season because of the winds and temperatures.

Bass fishing trips are available for different bodies of water throughout Michigan, particularly for small mouth bass. The Grand Traverse Bay, Thunder Bay, Bay De Noc and countless other Great Lakes Ports offer often untouched fishing opportunities. Also for small mouth fishing Michigan has top-notch inland lakes.

The Detroit River also offers opportunities for walleye fishing in addition to bass fishing. This is where fish in massive numbers migrate up the Detroit River from Lake Erie in the spring.

For the white bass fishing the best time period to go is May through mid June on Lakes Erie and St. Clair. This is also a great time for top water bass fishing opportunities. At this time is where spawning white bass are making their way up the river. These fish are eager to bite at anything resembling a minnow so this makes fishing simple and easy during this time.

Spur Of The Moment Get Together? No Problem With These Quick And Delicious Appetizers!

Spur Of The Moment Get Together? No Problem With These Quick And Delicious Appetizers!Spur Of The Moment Get Together? No Problem With These Quick And Delicious Appetizers! by by Mary Mechler

This happens to all of us. It's Friday afternoon, and your colleagues are talking about getting together for a drink after work. You volunteer to have everyone over, but have no thoughts for a few quick appetizers.

Not to worry. If you keep a few staples on hand, I have a couple of great ideas for quick and delicious appetizers your guests will love! No matter what the season, these appetizers works well.

I always have a jar of artichokes, on hand -- the main ingredient of this recipe. I have made it so many times, that I just keep all the ingredients around now because you never know when friends or family will drop in for a visit. Here we go:

Artichoke Cheese Bake
1 can or jar of artichokes (if you have them marinated, that's fine - it makes no difference)
1 cup grated cheese (Romano or parmesan work well)
1 small can diced chilies
1 cup mayonnaise
1 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. sea salt
1/2 t. freshly ground pepper
(Optional - at the holidays, I like to add about 1/2 cup of crab meat. Fold it into the mixture after you have pulsed the previous ingredients in the food processor. I omit the chilies when using crabmeat in order to not overpower the flavor of the crab.)

Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Butter or spray a 1 qt. casserole or baking dish.
Put all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until there are small chunks of artichokes visible, about the size of a pea.
Put into prepared baking dish and bake for about 35 minutes, or until a bit brown on top and bubbly.
This is a great dip with water crackers because they allow the flavors to really come through. I also like to use broccoli, cauliflower and red bell peppers to dip into it. Everyone always loves it, and are amazed that it's so simple to make. This one is an easy hit!

Pesto Bruschetta

1 French Bread Baguette, cut into 1/2" slices
1/3 cup pesto - any type
Roasted red peppers, thinly sliced, enough for 2 pieces on each slice of bread
1/2 cup grated or shaved parmesan cheese
Olive oil

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Brush one side of bread with a bit of oil. Put on baking sheet, oiled side up, and bake until top is barely brown, about 7 minutes. Remove from oven and cool until you can handle them.
Flip the bread slices over. Spread pesto on each slice. Top with roasted red pepper slices and cheese.
Return to the oven for another 6 minutes, or until cheese begins to melt. Serve warm.
This is a great flavor combination with traditional basil pesto, or, any other flavor you may choose. I've used a sundried tomato based version in this recipe as well.

So, there here are a couple of ideas to help you out in a pinch. Maybe you'll end up keeping these items on hand so that you can accommodate that last minute get together as well. They're homemade, quick and delicious. Your guests will love them.

These are just a couple of my "old reliables". Send us your thoughts on whether they work for you, and if you have ideas for other articles.

Dress Slimmer for the Summer

Dress Slimmer for the SummerDress Slimmer for the Summer by by Sharon Clara

Summer is coming up. It is a season that people will spend more time outdoors during such as travelling to the beach and picnic with friends or families. There are many interesting parties will occur in summer.

Lots of girls try to lose weight before summer comes so as to look much beautiful or slimmer in summer dress. However, losing weight is really a tough thing. Though more and more people agree that confidence will make them look much more beautiful, jimpness is still part of a woman's life.

Then, why not try to dress slimmer before you can lose your weight successfully?

Actually, dressing slimmer can be much simple that you can think of from choosing a dress or top in a V-neck, three-quarter sleeve combo rather than a scoop-neck and cap-sleeves to just teaming a pair of high-hell black pumps with black opaque tights to give the appearance of longer legs. The perfect appearance will add to your confidence.

Well, now let's see how to dress slimmer.

1. Longer legs
For longer legs, match hosiery with shoes to give you that lean, continuous line. For summer, tanned legs and nude shoes have the same effect. Metallic-colored footwear also has slimming properties, more so than classic black. The style is also important. Rounded toes can make feet look wider, thick ankle straps have the effect of making legs look chunkier.

The length of a dress or skirt is critical is you want to slimline your legs and give extra height. The most flattering length for a hemline is just on, or just-above the knee. Try it and see! Calf length hemlines can make you look dumpy, and high heels are a must in this case. Besides that, high-length skirts and dresses are a danger zone if you have less than perfect legs.

2. For pants and trousers
When it comes to jeans, to create an illusion of a slimmer derriere then search for a style which offers pockets placed high on the behind. Clever stitching (as in Levi's V-shaped stitching on its 501's) create an optical illusion of slimming down the bum.

Jeans and trousers should actually fit comfortably, rather than be tight. This means buying a size that actually fits on your waist, rather than creating a muffin top. The height of the waistband can make a huge difference. Avoid low-cut hipsters if you have a bit of a tum and go for high-waisted styles, which hold in the stomach.

3. Find the suitable underwear
Get professionally fitted for a bra. Around 85% of women are wearing the wrong bra size. The right bra (size and style) can take not only pounds off, but years off you too. The most common mistake is to wear a bra that is actually too big in the bandwidth and too small in the cup.

For big-busted women, then a dress or top with a V-neck has miracle slimming properties, especially when paired with just-above, or below-the-elbow sleeves. Forget polo necks, round necks and boat necks; these only serve to make your bust look heavier and can give you that uniboob look. Caps sleeves can accentuate flabby and chunky arms.

4. Colors
Wear colors that actually flatter your skintone and will consequently have a slimming effect. Some of this season's blush, salmon and honey tones can make skin look sallow and does nothing for streamlining the silhouette. If you thought you couldn't wear blue then spring and fall's new take on teal is extremely flattering and slimming. Also spring's new neutral, charcoal gray is a good alternative to black.

Juicy couture purses are luxurious, exciting and funny! Juicy couture is recognized as a leading brand of casual lifestyle clothing. Women with the juicy juicy watches, walk with the comfortable juicy shoes, you will find yourself receiving special gifts from god!

What to Do When Your Septic Tank Is Full

What to Do When Your Septic Tank Is Full

What to Do When Your Septic Tank Is Full
By Juanita Swindell

Many residents get in touch with plumbing professionals complaining that their septic tank is full when they notice even a minute problem with their septic tanks.

The truth of the matter is that the septic tank is always full because they contain liquids that almost reach the brim of the tank. It is only when it gets overfull that is when this liquid goes above the outlet pipe that issues arise. So what do you do when this takes place?

Check For Backup In The Cleanout

If you have a cleanout, backup that is present can collect between your home and the tank. You need to keep a check on this cleanout regularly to make sure no backup is formed there. You need to call in a professional to inspect the entire system and carry out the necessary procedure. You should also make sure that acids, paint, grease, polishes or oil is not flushed down your drains.

Problems In The Plumbing System

Your plumbing system can also be a major problem when it comes to your septic tank. If there is an issue about waste water from your home not reaching the tank, it could be because there is a problem with your plumbing pipes and drains.

The Absorption Area Of Your Septic Tank

If the absorption area of your house is not taking in any wastewater, your septic tank and the entire system will not work to its optimum capacity or sometimes, it may not work at all. To handle the issue on a temporary basis, you can have your tank pumped out. If the absorption area continues to struggle, it can still cause many problems.

Call In A Professional

Although the tank is designed to handle vast amounts of waste generated by your residential area, it needs to be maintained from time to time. Septic scum or sludge can contribute to scum buildup in your system. If not handled in time, it can enter into the drain field which can in turn harm the environment.

Sometimes, the problem does not only lie in an overfull septic system, there could be other issues as well. For any problems you experience, it is best to get in touch with a professional plumber who knows what to do, should disaster strike. Septic system problems can prove to be a tricky affair so it's best that you let the experts handle it.

The Do's And The Don'ts Of House Training Your Puppy

House Training Your Puppy

The Do's And The Don'ts Of House Training Your Puppy

By: Jonathan Cheong

House training a puppy is very important for the well being of both the puppy and the owner. The number one reason that dogs are surrender to animal shelters is problems with inappropriate elimination, so it is easy to see why proper house training is such an important consideration.

It is important to establish proper toilet habits when the puppy is young, since these habits can last a lifetime, and be very hard to break once they are established. It is very important for the owner to house break the puppy properly. In most cases, true house training cannot begin until the puppy is six months old. Puppies younger than this generally lack the bowel and bladder control that is needed for true house training.

Puppies younger than six months should be confined to a small, puppy proofed room when the owner cannot supervise them. The entire floor of the room should be covered with newspapers or similar absorbent materials, and the paper changed every time it is soiled. As the puppy gets older, the amount of paper used can be reduced as the puppy begins to establish a preferred toilet area. It is this preferred toilet area that will form the basis of later house training.

The Do's of House Training Your Puppy:

  • Always provide the puppy with constant, unrestricted access to the established toilet area.

  • When you are at home, take the puppy to the toilet area every 45 minutes.

  • When you are not at home or cannot supervise the puppy, you must be sure the puppy cannot make a mistake. This means confining the puppy to a small area that has been thoroughly puppy proofed. Puppy proofing a room is very similar to baby proofing a room, since puppies chew on everything.

  • Always provide a toilet area that does not resemble anything in your home. Training the puppy to eliminate on concrete, blacktop, grass or dirt is a good idea. The puppy should never be encouraged to eliminate on anything that resembles the hardwood flooring, tile or carpet he may encounter in a home.

  • Praise and reward your puppy every time he eliminates in the established toilet area. The puppy must learn to associate toileting in the established areas with good things, like treats, toys and praise from his owner.

  • Always keep a set schedule when feeding your puppy, and provide constant access to fresh, clean drinking water. A consistent feeding schedule equals a consistent toilet schedule.

  • Using a crate can be a big help in helping a puppy develop self control. The concept behind crate training is that the puppy will not want to toilet in his bed area.

  • And finally, it is important to be patient when house training a puppy. House training can take as long as several months, but it is much easier to house train right the first time than to retrain a problem dog.

The Don'ts of House Training Your Puppy

  • Never reprimand or punish the puppy for mistakes. Punishing the puppy will only cause fear and confusion.

  • Do not leave food out for the puppy all night long. Keep to a set feeding schedule in order to make the dog's toilet schedule as consistent as possible.

  • Do not give the puppy the run of the house until he has been thoroughly house trained.

House training is not always the easiest thing to do, and some dogs tend to be much easier to house train than others. It is important, however to be patient, consistent and loving as you train your dog. A rushed, frightened or intimidated dog will not be able to learn the important lessons of house training. Once you have gained your puppy's love and respect, however, you will find that house training your puppy is easier than you ever expected.

25 Ways to Find Companies to Buy

25 Ways to Find Companies to Buy

25 Ways to Find Companies to Buy

By: Mark Smock

When you start your program to purchase your "ideal" company, you quickly realize that your ultimate success will depend on two primary skill sets: 1) Your ability to FIND viable companies that are for sale, and 2) Your ability to effectively qualify the potential acquisition investment once found.

This article is about only step one, how to creatively find viable companies and one's that are able to be purchased.

Assuming you have clearly defined your business purchase criteria and you have decided to pursue only companies that are "officially" for sale, versus attempting to find and contact company owners who might be willing to sell, you will need to explore as many ways as you can to find companies for sale as possible.

As a business buyer you want to use the best means possible to position yourself to get the first shot at your most promising acquisition candidates and to do such in as cost effective means as possible.

Often the more "creative" you are to find deals, the quicker you'll find the "right" deal. The more diverse your means to locate viable companies for sale the better your chances of finding a quality acquisition candidate that few others are aware of.

When you are pursuing acquisition candidates you really never know where your next deal will come from. It could be word-of-mouth, something your read in a newspaper, a visit to a website or a lead from an association meeting. Listed below are a variety of ways you can use to find businesses to buy:

25 Ways to Find Businesses For Sale
* Investment Bankers: Regional, National, International
* Investment Banker websites: Listings of businesses for sale
* Business Brokers: Regional and National
* Business Brokerage websites: Listings of businesses for sale
* Venture Capital Firms: Good referral potential
* Mezzanine Lenders: Regional, National, Always aware of potential deals
* Newspapers: Listings in Local, Regional, National and Industry specific
* Magazines: Listings in Regional, National and Industry specific
* Newsletters: Listings in printed or "Ezines" on the internet - Industry specific
* Commercial Banks: Many of their clients are considering sale of their company
* Consultants: All varieties, many have extensive practices and many owner contacts
* Associations: All varieties, some are focused just on merger & acquisition activities
* Business Directories: All forms of printed and electronic, many industry specific
* M&A Service Providers: They know who is selling what often on a national basis
* Product Suppliers: Many product manufacturers/ distributors are in the know
* Trade Shows: Walk a trade show in an industry of interest, salesman love to talk!
* Accountants: Many have large practices with extensive business owner contacts
* Professors: Many provide consultative services to business owners or are board members
* Corporate Officers: Especially Corporate Development managers, seeking "spin-off's"
* Bank Trust Departments: Sometimes viable businesses surface in trust situations
* M&A Legal Specialists: Many are in the "crosswinds" of constant deal opportunities
* Networking Meetings: Your local business newspaper publishes many of these
* Technology Licensors: Always aware of companies getting "out" of new technologies
* Directory of Board Members: Board members typically know other board members
* Business Associates: Current and previous business associates and service providers

These "25 Ways to Find Businesses for Sale" are only a few of the creative means you can use to find acquisition candidates. Keep this list and add your own methods once you start your business pursuit program. With today's endless capabilities of the internet, its worldwide reach into various countries, industries and industry participants, there are countless variations for most of the means listed here.

As important about being proactive to locate companies to acquire you need to be as diligent to broadcast and document your specific business purchase interests and purchase criteria whenever and wherever possible. Business owners; individuals, corporations with multi divisions, merger and acquisition intermediaries, private equity firms need to know who you are and what specific businesses you seek to purchase.

This notification effort can be manifested in printed or "electronic" formats. The internet again is the most cost effective means to document your exact business purchase criteria and interests. However, be aware that there are few e commerce sites that specifically accommodate proactive business buyer needs. Most business transaction websites focus on listing businesses for sale, facilitating primarily business sellers needs, not business buyers.

Take the time and effort to research and try all these different means to locate companies to buy. Some will be more productive than others, while some may be more accommodating to your specific business pursuit requirements. You must do what you must to throw away as much hay as you can to get to that needle in the stack!

According to the USDA, the ready-to-eat Bacon Breakfast Burritos, Sausage Breakfast Burritos, Chorizo Breakfast Burritos, Bacon Quiche Pie, Sausage Quiche Pie, Chorizo Quiche Pie, Sausage Bacon Quiche Pie, Ham Quiche Pie, and Ham and Parmesan Croissant items were produced on various dates ranging from February 2017 to February 27, 2018.

The recalled products do not bear a mark of inspection or any dates or codes. The USDA said the items were shipped to cafes in Kansas and Missouri.

The USDA says the problem was discovered on March 1 of this year "when an FSIS Office of Investigations, Enforcement and Audit (OIEA) investigator visited the FDA processor identified as The Kansas City Baking Company and determined the firm was preparing USDA amenable products."

The USDA said there have not been any confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to eating these products; anyone concerned about illness or injury should contact a healthcare provider.

The USDA urges consumers who purchased the items not to eat the products; they are encouraged to discard the items or return them to the place of purchase.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Bradley Killen, Owner of The Kansas City Baking Company, at (816) 888-9186.
